I first was introudced to Vanessa when we both started working in the same team at NatWest in 2016. We shared a love of organising, cake and many other things. I knew straight away she was quite a special person and even though workwise  our projects changed we kept in contact. We had a whatsapp group where Vanessa would update us on her garden and beautiful views of North Berwick. She always sent me such positive messages (and telling me off too) when i needed them.

The photos I am sharing are ones taken this year when i visited Vanessa and Stefan. Even then she knew what was ahead but her concern was always others.

Such a remarkable woman, great friend, best listener (and straight talker). I have been blown away by how she dealt with it all. She was quite simply amazing and our last chat was that we wouldn’t say goodbye, but ‘see you later’. 

So Vanessa I am sending you a hug, and I will see you later.
